Chris Kelly, director of Fifth House Public Relations, has nearly twenty years of public relations experience.  As senior publicist for the award-winning PBS public affairs documentary series Frontline, he promoted groundbreaking and acclaimed films including “The Farmer’s Wife,” “From Jesus to Christ: The First Christians,” “Drug Wars,” “Assault on Gay America,” “Faith and Doubt at Ground Zero,” “Ghosts of Rwanda,” “Truth, War and Consequences,” and “A Company of Soldiers.”  He developed the series’ email newsletter and its “Buzzmakers” outreach campaign targeting key media and opinion leaders.  Previously, he worked as publicist for North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, MA, one of the nation’s leading regional theaters.

  Successful Events  

Prior to launching Fifth House Public Relations, director Chris Kelly coordinated successful events for North Shore Music Theatre (including press nights and a reception for theater legends Carol Channing and Chita Rivera) and for Frontline, where he staged press conferences for films including “John Paul II: The Millennial Pope,” “Faith and Doubt at Ground Zero,” and “Drug Wars,” and the twentieth anniversary celebration for the series at New York’s Museum of Television and Radio.

In 2006, Fifth House Public Relations coordinated the launch of the first annual Montage/Arclinea Contemporary Design Scholarship Competition, designed to encourage local architecture and design students to find innovative methods of incorporating contemporary design within the traditional architecture of Boston and its suburbs. On August 8, winners of the competition were announced at a reception attended by 140 members of the Boston architecture and design community.

Fifth House Public Relations planned and coordinated a groundbreaking ceremony for the Yoo D4 by Starck condominiums in Boston’s South End, attended by Mayor Thomas Menino and more than 100 guests, and a reception for the YooD4 project with world-famous designer Philippe Starck and more than 250 guests.

Fifth House Public Relations has worked with Arclinea Boston to establish “Art in the Kitchens,” a regular series of events at its showroom in Boston’s Design District to spotlight the city’s leading artists, designers, and craftspeople.  Receptions featuring handbag designer Meichi Peng and artist/sculptor Juan Jose Barboza Gubo have each attracted more than 150 guests to the showroom.

For Italy/America Chamber of Commerce and Trade, Kelly coordinated a well attended press conference announcing a new travel opportunity in Sicily’s olive growing region to area travel writers.
